I'm happy to say that I have another presentation scheduled for this month. On July 20, I shall be at Elmcroft on Gunbarrel Road speaking about mental illness and signing my book, Moon Flyers.
If the Hickory Valley Retirement Home and Elmcroft presentations go well, I will reach out to additional locations around Chattanooga.
On June 29, I was so glad to finally meet our out-of-town member of the North Georgia Writers' Group, Rachel Cates. Our original plans to meet in the afternoon fell through when Rachel and her family were delayed by an accident on Highway 24. They had been driving all day.
Nonetheless, some of us were able to meet with her and the rest of her family and friends for dinner. Kenyon Henry took a photo for posterity. His selfie shows me with Rachel and Devereaux Chivington, another member of the group. We had a wonderful visit.
