NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. I presented a workshop for family members and caregivers of those suffering with mental illness. Reading from my book, Moon Flyers- A Family Memoir: Coping With Mental Illness, helped the more than thirty participants understand why I wrote my story and how I found a way to use humor to help me cope. I will be presenting my book again during a panel discussion at the Jewish Cultural Center in Chattanooga on Oct. 29, 2015. Book sales will take place at the end of the program. I will also sell and sign my book at the Catoosa County Library in Ringgold, GA on Oct. 10th and McKay's Book Store on Lee Highway, Chattanooga, on Nov. 7th.
